Understanding how we collect and process data when you visit our platform

Updated February 2025
This document explains how Novamultilex Academy uses tracking technologies on novamultilexacademy.com. We're committed to transparency about the data we collect and why we need it. If you've got questions after reading this, reach out to us directly.

What Are Tracking Technologies

Tracking technologies are small data files that websites store on your device. They help sites remember your preferences and understand how people use their platforms. Most modern websites need these to function properly.

When you visit our site, your browser might store several types of these files. Some are essential for basic functionality. Others help us improve your experience or understand which content resonates with visitors.

You have control over which tracking technologies you accept. We'll explain your options below.

Categories We Use

Essential Operations

These keep our platform working. They handle things like security, load balancing, and basic navigation. Without them, you wouldn't be able to access course materials or submit registration forms.

Functionality Support

These remember your choices—like preferred language settings or video playback quality. They make your experience smoother by saving preferences between visits.

Performance Analysis

We use these to understand which pages get visited most and where people spend their time. This data helps us figure out what content is actually useful and what needs improvement.

Marketing Insights

These track whether our outreach efforts bring visitors to the site. They help us understand which channels work best for reaching people interested in AR/VR education in Albania.

How We Apply These Technologies

Session Management

When you log into your student dashboard, we create a temporary session identifier. This lets you move between pages without having to log in repeatedly. These expire when you close your browser.

Preference Storage

If you adjust video quality settings or toggle dark mode, we save that choice. Next time you visit, things will be set up the way you prefer without having to reconfigure everything.

Traffic Analysis

We track which course pages get viewed and how long people spend reading different sections. This shows us what topics generate interest and helps us develop content that actually matters to prospective students.

Form Optimization

When someone fills out our enrollment inquiry form, we monitor which fields cause confusion. If we notice people abandoning forms at specific points, we know something needs fixing.

Campaign Tracking

If you arrive from a Facebook ad or email newsletter, we note that source. This helps us understand which outreach channels bring in serious inquiries versus casual browsers.

Manage Your Preferences

You can decline non-essential tracking right now. Essential functionality files will remain because they're required for the site to work properly.

Browser Configuration Options

Every major browser lets you control tracking technologies directly. Here's how to access those settings:

Chrome Users

Navigate to Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. You can block third-party trackers or clear existing data from here.

Firefox Setup

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security. Firefox offers enhanced tracking protection by default. You can adjust the level under "Standard," "Strict," or "Custom."

Safari Configuration

Open Preferences → Privacy. Safari blocks most third-party trackers automatically. You can enable "Prevent cross-site tracking" for additional protection.

Edge Management

Visit Settings → Cookies and site permissions. Edge provides three tracking prevention levels: Basic, Balanced, and Strict.

Data Retention Practices

Different tracking files have different lifespans. Session identifiers disappear when you close your browser. Preference settings might stick around for several months so we don't forget your choices.

Analytics data gets aggregated and anonymized after 14 months. We keep the insights but remove individual identifiers. Marketing trackers typically expire after 90 days unless refreshed by a return visit.

You can clear all stored data whenever you want using browser settings or the rejection button above.

Important Note About Essential Functions

Even if you decline optional tracking, our platform needs certain basic files to operate. These handle security protocols, prevent form resubmission errors, and maintain your logged-in state during a session. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

Third-Party Services

We work with a few external providers who help us run the site. Our video hosting service places performance trackers to optimize streaming quality. Our analytics platform (we use a privacy-focused option) helps us understand site usage without collecting personal identifiers.

These services operate under their own policies. We've reviewed their practices and work only with providers who meet our privacy standards. But you should know that some data processing happens outside our direct control.

  • Video streaming platform: Handles course content delivery
  • Analytics service: Tracks site usage patterns anonymously
  • Email delivery system: Manages course communications
  • Payment processor: Handles secure transactions for program enrollment

Your Rights and Choices

You're in control of your data. You can request a copy of information we've collected about your site usage. You can ask us to delete that data (though we might need to keep some records for legal compliance).

If you're in the EU, GDPR gives you additional rights around data portability and processing restrictions. Albania's data protection framework provides similar protections for local users.

To exercise these rights, email us at contact@novamultilexacademy.com with "Data Request" in the subject line. We'll respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We update this document when we change how we handle tracking technologies. The date at the top shows when we last revised it. Significant changes will be announced through email to enrolled students and posted prominently on our homepage.

We recommend checking back every six months or so if you're concerned about privacy practices.
